Fight For Your Inheritance!

Good afternoon people of God! Today I wanted to share with you that sometimes faith looks like not taking no for an answer. If there is a promise of God, and there is something between you and the fulfillment of that promise, then we should not take no for an answer. Because “…all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us” (from 2 Cor. 1:20).

I was thinking about the Canaanite woman who wanted the Lord to deliver her child from a devil. The Lord didn’t speak a word to her except when his disciples came and asked him to send her away. At which point he told her that he was only sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel and then compared her to a dog… She asked for help and he was resisting her at first, but she didn’t take no for an answer! Then Jesus recognized her great faith and her daughter was made whole. (From Mat. 15:21-28).

This woman did not have a covenant with God! She was not a part of God’s covenant people; yet, and the one who was the voice and representation of God on the earth told her that he was only sent for God’s covenant people and that it wasn’t right to give the children’s bread to the dogs! But she did not take no for an answer! She continued to seek for the healing/deliverance of her child despite what even Jesus (the word of God) had told her! This woman truly had great faith!

We are God’s covenant people, to whom belong the promises and mercies of our God. We are not like this woman who had no covenant. But we are the ones to whom belong the inheritance of the kingdom. So we are not in the same circumstance as she was. The reason why I am saying this is because our resistance is not from Jesus or our Father, it is from the devil. The uncovenanted Canaanite woman was not a part of the adopted inheritors yet, but I do believe she is now!

Whenever we have something standing in the way of our possession it is either a devil or religion that is resisting us! And we should not bow to religion or demons ever! That was one of the discrepancies that Jesus had with the Pharisees. They did not seize hold of the promises and hindered those who were trying to possess them. “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves nor do you allow those who are entering to go in” (Mat. 23:13).

God bless you guys fight the good fight for your inheritance!

“According as his divine power has given unto us ALL things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us to glory and [valor]! By which he has given unto us exceeding great and precious promises. That by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” (2Pet. 1:3-4).

“Do not fear, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32).
